Online / Mobile Banking is a safe way to manage your money. However, there are fraudsters who will try to gain access to your accounts by e-mailing you and prompting you to disclose your confidential information & details to them. Banks never sends e-mails or calls the customers and ask their confidential information & details. If you receive an e-mail or call requesting you to disclose your mobile banking, ATM, KYC details or information, in any circumstances, you should never respond or disclose such details or information to anyone.

The Bhandara Urban Co-op. Bank Ltd. is neither liable for any loss arising from your sharing of your sensitive information like PIN / passwords, ATM cum Debit card details (card number, Name on card, validity, CVV etc. with anyone, nor from their consequent unauthorized uses.

How do fraudulent e-mails work?

You receive an e-mail claiming to be from your bank, either requesting your banking details (perhaps as part of an update or confirmation process) or asking you to follow a link to a site where you will be encouraged to provide a range of information such as your debit card information, personal identification number (PIN), passwords or personal information. After clicking on the link they take you to a fake website, designed to look like bank’s original website, but operated by the fraudster. Fraudulent e-mails and websites can be very convincing and fraudsters are continually inventing new approaches to get you to divulge your banking details.

Treat all unsolicited emails with caution and never click on links from such emails and enter any personal information.
